Foundation Light

A monolithic floor lamp born from pandemic constraints and 3D scanning. Foundation Light emerged during the 2020 lockdown when independent designer Andrew Ferrier committed fully to digital-first design—from 3D-scanned natural stone through computational refinement to 3D-printed production.

The result: a column-like form with fractured, concrete-like textures that creates dramatic shadows when lit. Its raw surface disperses focused downlight while shadows accentuate every textured detail.
